While your comments are interesting and well thought, I must correct you on what you deem a “shortage” of players. That is a great misconception and totally erroneous! I have lived in Brasil for many decades and I assure you that this is a statement is without basis. Brasil has players of world class level to fill even more teams than those. The inherent problem with futebol in Brasil is the problems of political nature, which permeate the CBF. The extraction and selection of players is made from the two major cities eclusively - S.P. and R.de J….and, there is excessive negative influence by CBF President Texeira in the Brazilian futebol!

…But never say that there is a scarcity of quality players in Brasil…blasphemy!! The best have not even been given the oportunity to come down from the favelas or the beaches along the endless coasts of this paradise country!!
